Carpet Repairs
Damaged carpet does not always have to be replaced. Depending on the carpet and the damage, Cutlor’s can assess localised tears, burns, pet damage, loose areas and small section repairs to work out whether a professional repair is a practical alternative to relaying the whole room.
The things that most often ruin an otherwise sound carpet are small and local: a cigarette or iron burn, a split seam, a pet that has worked at one corner, a patch lifted by a leak, or an area that has come loose and started to ripple. Replacing a whole room because of a damaged patch the size of a hand is an expensive way to solve a small problem.
Whether a repair is worth doing comes down to the carpet, the size and position of the damage, and whether matching material can be found, which is usually the deciding factor. Offcuts left over from the original fit, or a piece taken from inside a wardrobe or from under a permanent piece of furniture, are often the best source. Send a photograph and Louis will tell you honestly whether a repair is realistic before anyone commits to it.
A professional repair is a sound repair rather than an invisible one. The aim is a result that is stable, safe underfoot and far less noticeable, and you will be given a realistic idea of how it is likely to look beforehand.
